About the Role

We are looking for a Site Support team member to help keep our job sites running smoothly, safely, and professionally. This is an entry-level role and no construction experience is required. What matters most is reliability, work ethic, and pride in doing good work.

You will support our carpenters and crew with day-to-day tasks, help maintain clean and organized job sites, and play an important role in keeping projects moving efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a close-knit team.

This is an on-site role based in Eugene, Oregon.

What You’ll Do

Job Site Support

• Assist carpenters and crew members with daily tasks as needed

• Move materials, tools, and equipment around the site

• Support multiple team members depending on the needs of the day

Job Site Cleanliness and Organization

• Keep job sites clean, safe, and professional

• Perform daily sweeping, trash removal, and site organization

• Reset the site at the end of each day so work can resume efficiently

Time Tracking and Documentation

• Clock in and out accurately using our time tracking system

• Add clear notes to each timesheet punch describing the job and work performed

• Communicate promptly if a correction is needed

Learning and Growth

• Learn basic construction skills over time

• Follow instructions carefully and ask questions when unsure

• Take pride in improving your skills and responsibilities

Safety and Professionalism

• Follow all job site safety guidelines

• Treat clients, teammates, and job sites with respect

• Represent Kalau Builders professionally at all times

 

What You Bring

• A strong work ethic and dependable attendance

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Pride in doing quality work, even on basic tasks

• Physical ability to perform hands-on labor

• A positive, team-oriented attitude

• Basic comfort using a phone or app for time tracking
   

Construction experience is not required. We are happy to train the right person.
